Our workshops help leaders in churches, schools, universities, and other organizations.
Be the leader people need right now.
Christian Conflict Transformation is a continued practice that takes intentional efforts by leadership, and the participation of many.
The good news is there’s a proven path forward with multiple entry points — and you can lead the way. Whether you need support around conflict for your church, school, nonprofit, or other type of organization, we have options to meet you where you are.
It starts with the power of people being in a room together.
When a conflict arises, many people aren’t willing to talk face-to-face. There’s fear around having difficult conversations.
It becomes the norm to hide, send a passive aggressive chat message, or blast off an email that is sure to “win” the argument.
Over the years, our research-based workshops and trainings have created lasting change within organizations by creating a new normal. When groups are in a room (face-to-face) at a WayFinder workshop with an experienced trainer, they have the opportunity to examine their conflict culture, often for the first time.
WayFinder gives organizations a shared understanding that is rooted in scripture, new language, and practical organizational strategies that can be implemented right away.
Types of organizations we work with:
- Churches
- Colleges
- Private schools
- Non-profits
- For-profits
- Denominations
- Parachurch
- Camps
St. Augustine Preparatory Academy was looking for a better way to handle conflict — and found it.
St. Augustine Preparatory Academy needed a way to handle conflict that would bring leadership and staff together, not further divide them. In 2022, they experienced WayFinder twice, equipping first its leadership team and then the entire staff.
“Conflict is another way you can worship, show love for each other, and for God.”
St. Augustine Prep was introduced to WayFinder at a time when the school was navigating polarizing conversations around topics like race, sexuality, and politics. The leadership desired ways to approach these oft-avoided conversations with staff and students from a Biblical perspective, and ultimately equipped 30 of their leaders with WayFinder practices.
“WayFinder gave us tools built and grounded in the word of God, to handle those conflicts to the glory of God.”
As WayFinder began to be implemented in staff meetings and classrooms, St. Augustine Prep’s leadership recognized the incredible opportunity for the entire school to have a common language around conflict — and a set of formative practices. The school realized a vision of freedom as their entire staff was trained in this framework.
“WayFinder gives us a tool-kit and a language to approach even the toughest of conversations in a way that brings us together.”
“It’s really shaped our team. Our leaders are all on the same page when we sit down together.”
After experiencing WayFinder, St. Augustine Prep created their annual theme: Stronger Together. Central to this theme is building deeper relationships between staff, students, and parents that glorify God by leaning into conflict. Now they can deepen and enrich their mission through every divisive situation, whether a difficult conversation or a policy decision.
An unhealthy conflict culture is costly to your bottom line — and your soul.
Studies have found that when institutional conflict cultures are not healthy, it results in a cost to both individuals and the organization. Costs to individuals include stress, demotivation, depression, anxiety, and sleep disturbance. At an organizational level, conflict lowers trust, problem solving, creativity, performance, cooperation, communication, and advice-seeking. The end result? People leave. Productivity decreases. Feelings of loneliness and isolation abound.
When organizations don’t have a process in place, and lack the readiness to address incidents of conflict, there are often missteps that create further harm — and put the organization at additional risk. This takes an internal toll on leaders who know there’s work to be done, but don’t know how to effectively meet this moment.
